Retrieve the state of the auditing subcategories.

To retrieve the state of Directory Service Access auditing subcategories, perform the following tasks:

1.
Log on to a domain controller.

2.
Click Start, and then click Command Prompt.

3.
In the Command Prompt window, type the following command and then press Enter:

auditpol /get /category:"DS Access"

4.
The status of each subcategory is returned in the Command Prompt window, as shown in Figure 1.
